Evangelism

Evangelism is the responsibility of every believer; all of us need to be equipped to carry out this work of ministry effectively. As believers, we all have the responsibility and privilege of sharing the Gospel. Some need to be taught how to share their faith and to be encouraged in what to say. Our churches should be training and encouraging believers of all ages to be sharing their faith. John MacArthur, in “the Master’s Plan For The Church” makes these two important statements; There are two ways to evangelize: through our lives and through our words. Our lives make our testimonies believable or unbelievable. If Christ is exalted and people are living in obedience to God in our church, then we’re going to establish credibility for our corporate testimony. The way we live in the world is very important.

Evangelism has many commendable avenues in and out of the church setting that can provide personal and corporate equipping and evangelism. First and foremost will be the example to our families, neighborhoods, and places of commerce. It would be my desire to assist our churches in the equipping and training of people of all ages to be evangelizing those around us. I would encourage local churches to consider evangelistic efforts for each generation within the church. Examples might include; Fascar rally for the children, STORM meetings for the students and missions conferences/outreach or Bible conferences for the adults. (Matthew 5:13-16, 1 Peter 3:15).

Great Evangelism Idea

September 26th 2009

Evangelism should be our lifestyle as children of God. This is especially true of students in our youth ministries. We need to be intentional about helping them to reach out with the Gospel. Here is a great way to do just that...it is called S.T.O.R.M., sending teens out to reach the masses of unsaved students in their schools and people they are rubbing shoulders with every day. Send me an e-mail and I will buy you lunch and tell you all about it.
